Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DD1013 (also known as HDM1013) is a novel, long-acting unimolecular triple agonist targeting the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP), and amylin receptors. Developed by Huadong Medicine, this peptide therapeutic is designed for the treatment of obesity and metabolic disorders. By combining incretin receptor agonism (GLP-1 and GIP) with amylin receptor activation, DD1013 aims to regulate satiety, reduce food intake, and overcome the weight loss plateaus often observed with dual-incretin therapies. Preclinical studies in diet-induced obese (DIO) rats have demonstrated robust, dose-dependent weight loss and the ability to reverse weight loss plateaus after switching from a GLP-1/GIP dual agonist. Its pharmacokinetic profile in Cynomolgus monkeys supports a potential once-weekly or monthly subcutaneous dosing regimen.
