Overview

DDD-016 is a preclinical small molecule therapeutic being developed by Daya CNS for the treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, primarily schizophrenia. It is a pentacyclic compound derived from a proprietary non-opioid pyridoindole platform invented by Dr. Parthasarathi Rajagopalan. DDD-016 acts as an antagonist at both 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 2A (5-HT2A) and Dopamine D2 receptors, showing high affinity for the former and moderate affinity for the latter. The compound was screened against a broad panel of over 80 CNS receptors, transporters, and ion channels to characterize its potential as an antipsychotic agent.
