Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DE-112 vehicle solution is the placebo control formulation used in clinical trials for DE-112 (evodenoson), an ophthalmic solution developed by Santen Inc. for the treatment of primary open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. The vehicle solution contains the same inactive ingredients as the active DE-112 formulation but lacks the active pharmaceutical ingredient, evodenoson, which is an adenosine A2A receptor agonist. It was used in Phase I/II trials to evaluate the safety and intraocular pressure-lowering efficacy of evodenoson relative to a non-active control and timolol maleate.
