Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DE-117 + tafluprost is a combination of two ophthalmic agents used for the reduction of intraocular pressure (IOP) in conditions such as primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and ocular hypertension (OHT). **DE-117** (omidenepag isopropyl) is a selective prostaglandin E2 (EP2) receptor agonist developed to enhance aqueous humor outflow via the conventional pathway, representing a novel mechanism distinct from traditional prostaglandin analogues[1][2][4]. **Tafluprost** is a prostaglandin F2α analogue that increases uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humor[5]. Both drugs have been studied in monotherapy and combination therapy arms, including a direct clinical trial of DE-117 + tafluprost for POAG and OHT[4].
