Overview

Debio 4228 is an extended-release formulation of a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist developed for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic prostate cancer. It is administered via intramuscular injection and is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials to determine its pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. The drug aims to provide continuous androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) by inhibiting GnRH, thereby reducing testosterone production, which is critical in the management of prostate cancer.
