Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Decaffeinated green tea extract plus (dGTE+) is a dietary supplement combining decaffeinated green tea extract (standardized to 400 mg/d (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG), quercetin (50 mg/d), and alpha-lipoic acid (150 mg/d). This combination has been investigated for its effects on fat oxidation, body composition, and cardio-metabolic health in overweight individuals engaged in regular exercise. Clinical studies have shown that dGTE+ can improve maximal fat oxidation and substrate utilization during exercise, and also lead to a reduction in LDL-c.
