Overview
decitabine + R-ICE is a combination regimen used in the treatment of relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The regimen combines the epigenetic modulator decitabine with the standard chemotherapy protocol R-ICE, which includes rituximab, ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide. Decitabine inhibits DNA methylation, leading to reactivation of tumor suppressor genes and induction of apoptosis in cancer cells. The addition of decitabine to R-ICE aims to improve response rates and outcomes for patients who have failed prior therapies. In clinical studies, this combination has shown promising efficacy as a bridging regimen for autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT), with manageable toxicity[1][6][8].
