Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Decolgen is an over-the-counter (OTC) multi-ingredient small-molecule formulation developed and marketed by Great Eastern Drug Co. (a subsidiary of Unilab) for the symptomatic relief of the common cold and influenza. The medication typically combines acetaminophen (paracetamol) for its analgesic and antipyretic effects, chlorpheniramine maleate as a first-generation antihistamine to alleviate runny nose and sneezing, and a sympathomimetic decongestant such as phenylephrine hydrochloride or pseudoephedrine hydrochloride to reduce nasal congestion. It is widely distributed across Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand and the Philippines, and is available in oral tablet and syrup forms.
