Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Decubal is a topical emollient cream formulated for the treatment and prevention of dry, sensitive, or irritated skin. It contains a blend of moisturizing and skin-protective ingredients including anhydrous lanolin, isopropyl myristate, cetyl alcohol, sorbitan monostearate (or stearate), polysorbate 20 or 60, glycerol (glycerin), dimethicone, and sometimes sorbic acid. The cream works by restoring the skin barrier and retaining moisture through both occlusive (lanolin/dimethicone) and humectant (glycerin) actions. It is free from dyes, parabens, and perfume to minimize irritation risk. Indications include dry skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis; it can be used on both face and body in adults and children[1][2][5][7].
