Overview
Deep Sea Water (DSW) is a naturally sourced mineral water obtained from ocean depths typically exceeding 200 meters, where the water is characterized by high purity, low temperature, and a distinct mineral profile including magnesium, calcium, and potassium. National Taiwan University Hospital has conducted clinical research, including Phase 3 trials, to evaluate the antibacterial efficacy of DSW against *Helicobacter pylori* infection. The intervention involves the oral consumption of DSW, with the hypothesis that its unique mineral composition can inhibit the growth and colonization of *H. pylori* in the stomach. This approach is being explored as a potential non-pharmacological or complementary therapy to reduce the risk of *H. pylori*-associated conditions such as gastritis, peptic ulcers, and gastric cancer.
