Overview
DEKAs Plus is a specialized multivitamin and mineral supplement formulation developed by Callion Pharma for the dietary management of individuals with malabsorptive conditions, most notably cystic fibrosis and cholestatic liver disease. The product line utilizes a clinically validated delivery technology known as TPGS (d-alpha-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate), which encapsulates fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) into water-soluble micelles. This mechanism facilitates the absorption of these essential nutrients even in patients with pancreatic insufficiency or impaired bile flow who cannot efficiently digest fats. In addition to high-dose fat-soluble vitamins, DEKAs Plus provides a comprehensive profile of B-vitamins, vitamin C, and essential minerals such as zinc and selenium, tailored to meet the increased metabolic demands and compensate for nutrient losses associated with chronic malabsorption syndromes.
