Delphinidin is a natural anthocyanidin and dietary antioxidant found in various fruits and vegetables, particularly berries and grapes. It functions as a potent inhibitor of hyaluronidase, an enzyme often overexpressed in metastatic cancers that degrades high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HMW-HA). By preserving HMW-HA levels within the extracellular matrix, delphinidin exerts anti-proliferative, anti-migratory, and anti-invasive effects on cancer cells.
