Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DendroCarrier is a pH-sensitive dendritic nanocarrier system developed by DendroPharm for targeted drug delivery in oncology. The system utilizes the Enhanced Permeability and Retention (EPR) effect to selectively accumulate in tumor tissues. Once at the target site, the carrier's pH-cleavable structure triggers the release of encapsulated small molecule drugs, such as doxorubicin or nimodipine, in response to the acidic microenvironment of the tumor. This mechanism is designed to maximize therapeutic efficacy at the tumor site while minimizing systemic toxicity. The technology is exclusively licensed from the Freie Universität Berlin and has demonstrated biocompatibility in preclinical animal models.
