Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DeNovo NT Natural Tissue Graft is a juvenile articular cartilage allograft consisting of particulated tissue pieces (approximately 1 mm³) containing viable human chondrocytes. It is indicated for the single-stage repair of articular cartilage defects in the knee and ankle. The graft is typically secured in the defect using a fibrin sealant. Unlike adult cartilage, juvenile cartilage has a higher density of chondrocytes and a greater capacity for extracellular matrix production, facilitating the regeneration of hyaline-like cartilage. It was developed by ISTO Technologies and is marketed by Zimmer Biomet (formerly Zimmer Orthobiologics). The product is regulated as a Human Cell, Tissue, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act.
