Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**denovoSkin** is CUTISS's personalized, autologous, bilayer tissue-engineered dermo-epidermal skin graft for coverage of deep partial- and full-thickness skin defects. It is manufactured from a small patient skin biopsy by expanding autologous keratinocytes and fibroblasts and assembling them into a living collagen-based dermal and epidermal graft. Applied surgically to the wound bed, it is intended to restore skin coverage while reducing the need for donor-site harvesting and improving scar quality versus split-thickness skin grafting. The product is in Phase III development for severe burns and has also been studied in Phase II programs for full-thickness skin defects and reconstructive surgery.
