Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DENSY-MAX is an oral dietary supplement and bone health formulation developed and marketed by Jointcare Pharmaceuticals. It is a combination product containing calcitriol (0.25 mcg), calcium citrate (1000 mg), magnesium hydroxide (100 mg), and zinc sulphate monohydrate (equivalent to 7.5 mg elemental zinc). Calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D3, facilitates intestinal calcium absorption and regulates bone mineralization by acting as an agonist at the vitamin D receptor. Calcium citrate provides a bioavailable source of elemental calcium necessary for maintaining bone density. Magnesium and zinc serve as essential minerals and enzymatic cofactors involved in bone matrix formation and structural integrity. DENSY-MAX is primarily indicated for the management of weak bone conditions such as osteoporosis and to support recovery from bone fractures.
