Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DentaCell is a regenerative medicine platform developed by Leonhardt Ventures (and its startup DentaCell) for the regeneration of dental tissues, including teeth, gums, and alveolar bone. The system utilizes a combination of bioelectronic stimulation and cell therapy. The bioelectronic component delivers specific microcurrent frequencies designed to upregulate the expression of regenerative proteins such as Bone Morphogenetic Protein 2 (BMP-2), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), and Stromal Cell-Derived Factor 1 (SDF-1). These proteins facilitate the recruitment and differentiation of stem cells to repair and regrow oral structures. The therapy is intended to treat conditions such as periodontitis, tooth loss, and jawbone degradation.
