Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dentiline is a topical gingival gel developed by Ghimas, primarily indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with teething in infants and general gum irritation. The formulation is based on a combination of botanical extracts, including *Aloe barbadensis*, *Chamomilla recutita* (Chamomile), and *Boswellia serrata*. These ingredients work synergistically to provide a soothing effect, reduce inflammation, and form a protective film over the oral mucosa. *Boswellia serrata* extract is known for its ability to inhibit the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzyme, which plays a key role in the inflammatory cascade by reducing the production of leukotrienes. Dentiline is commercialized as a nutraceutical-based oral care product, offering a botanical approach to managing oral discomfort and protecting sensitive gingival tissues.
