This is a combination therapy used in oral and maxillofacial surgery, particularly for bone regeneration procedures. It consists of two main components: - **Dentine graft**: Autologous dentin particles are prepared from extracted teeth, cleaned, and processed to serve as a bone substitute material. - **Injectable platelet-rich fibrin (PRF)**: A second-generation autologous platelet concentrate derived from the patient's own blood via centrifugation. PRF forms a fibrin matrix rich in platelets and growth factors. When combined, the dentine particles provide an osteoconductive scaffold while the PRF supplies bioactive molecules that promote angiogenesis, tissue healing, and bone regeneration. This combination has been shown to be effective for guided bone regeneration (GBR), sinus augmentation procedures, socket preservation after tooth extraction, ridge augmentation, and other dental implant-related surgeries. The mechanism involves both physical support for new bone formation (dentine) and biological stimulation of healing processes (PRF). Clinical studies report accelerated healing times and improved quality of regenerated bone compared to traditional materials[2][6][1].
