Dentispray

Dentispray is an approved topical dental anesthetic solution developed and marketed by Laboratorios Viñas. The formulation contains 5% benzocaine (50 mg/ml) as its active ingredient. It functions as a local anesthetic by blocking sensory receptors in the oral mucous membranes, providing rapid symptomatic relief of toothaches, dental pain, and gum discomfort. Delivered via an oral spray with a dosing pump and applicator cannula, the product typically takes effect within 30 to 60 seconds, with the anesthetic effect lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes. It is indicated for use in adults and children over 2 years of age and is available as an over-the-counter medication in Spain.
