Dentoxol

**Dentoxol** is an Ingalfarma proprietary, patented medical mouthrinse used locally to manage oral ulcerative lesions, including oral mucositis associated with radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. The multicomponent oromucosal solution has been described as containing eugenol, camphor, parachlorophenol, hydrogen peroxide, xylitol, sodium bicarbonate, purified water, sucralose, and peppermint essence. Its intended action is predominantly local and physical: cleansing, moisturizing, lubricating, and gently sloughing damaged superficial oral-mucosal cells and debris to support re-epithelialization and symptom relief. Phase II clinical studies have evaluated Dentoxol for radiation-induced oral mucositis and oral symptoms associated with inherited epidermolysis bullosa.
