Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Denttabs is an eco-friendly toothpaste tablet formulation designed as a sustainable alternative to conventional paste dentifrices. Developed by the German company Denttabs GmbH, these tablets are water-free and typically contain sodium fluoride as their primary active pharmaceutical ingredient (available in concentrations such as 1450 ppm and 4350 ppm). When chewed and used with a wet toothbrush, the tablet breaks down into a slurry that facilitates the remineralization of tooth enamel by promoting the formation of fluorapatite. Denttabs are characterized by a very low Relative Dentin Abrasivity (RDA) and Relative Enamel Abrasivity (REA), making them gentle on tooth surfaces while effectively removing dental plaque biofilm. They are primarily indicated for the prevention of dental caries and the maintenance of gingival health.
