Overview
DENV-3-LVHC (Dengue Virus-3 Live Virus Human Challenge) is a characterized strain of Dengue virus serotype 3, specifically strain CH53489, utilized in Controlled Human Infection Models (CHIM). Developed and managed by the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University, this live virus preparation is used to safely induce a controlled dengue infection in healthy adult volunteers. The primary objective of using DENV-3-LVHC is to study the clinical progression, viral kinetics, and immunologic responses associated with dengue infection and reinfection.
