Overview

Deoxymab-1 (also known as PAT-DX1) is a first-in-class, cell-penetrating antibody fragment developed by Patrys Ltd. It is a re-engineered and optimized version of the 3E10 lupus autoantibody. Deoxymab-1 utilizes the equilibrative nucleoside transporter 2 (ENT2) to cross the blood-brain barrier and enter cell nuclei, where it binds to DNA and inhibits DNA damage repair (DDR) pathways. This mechanism makes it synthetically lethal to cancer cells with existing homologous recombination (HR) defects, such as those with BRCA1/2 mutations or PTEN deficiency. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of glioblastoma and other advanced solid tumors.
