Overview

Oshadi D is an investigational anticancer drug delivery system developed by Oshadi Drug Administration. It utilizes a proprietary oral, controlled-release nanoparticle formulation to deliver deoxyribonuclease (DNase) enzymes. The mechanism of action involves the enzymatic breakdown of extracellular DNA, which can accumulate in the tumor microenvironment and contribute to cancer progression and metastasis. By degrading this extracellular DNA, DNase may reduce tumor growth and enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy. Preclinical studies and early-phase clinical trials have evaluated its safety and antitumor activity, particularly in combination with other agents such as docetaxel or salvage chemotherapy for cancers including metastatic mesothelioma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and basal cell carcinoma[1][2][3][4]. The drug has shown a good safety profile with no dose-limiting toxicities observed in early studies.
