Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Depatuxizumab is a humanized recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically targets activated Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR), including both wild-type and EGFRvIII mutant forms. It was developed by AbbVie, with Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research as the originator. Depatuxizumab functions by binding to EGFR, thereby inhibiting its signaling and suppressing tumor growth. It has been investigated as a standalone agent in early-phase clinical trials for advanced solid tumors and also serves as the antibody component in the antibody-drug conjugate depatuxizumab mafodotin (ABT-414).
