Depigoid is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) vaccine developed by Laboratorios LETI for the treatment of respiratory allergies caused by house dust mite sensitization. The product contains allergen extracts from the house dust mites *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Dermatophagoides farinae* that have undergone a specific modification process: they are depigmented to remove non-allergenic proteins and pigments, and polymerized with glutaraldehyde. This polymerization reduces the extract's IgE-binding capacity (decreasing allergenicity and the risk of systemic reactions) while preserving its immunogenicity to induce T-cell tolerance and the production of protective IgG4 antibodies. It is indicated for patients with allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and mild persistent or intermittent allergic asthma.
