Depigoid

Depigoid is a subcutaneous allergen-specific immunotherapy (SCIT) developed by Laboratorios LETI for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergic diseases. The product consists of allergen extracts (such as house dust mites, grass pollen, or tree pollen) that have undergone a proprietary depigmentation and polymerization process using glutaraldehyde. This modification creates "allergoids" with reduced IgE-binding capacity, thereby minimizing the risk of systemic allergic reactions during administration, while preserving the immunogenicity required to induce long-term clinical tolerance. Depigoid is indicated for patients with allergic rhinoconjunctivitis and allergic asthma, and real-world evidence also suggests potential benefits in atopic dermatitis. It is typically administered in a build-up phase followed by monthly maintenance injections.
