Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Depigoid Bäume Mix is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by LETI Pharma for the treatment of IgE-mediated allergic diseases triggered by tree pollen, such as allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and allergic asthma. The active ingredient consists of a depigmented, glutaraldehyde-polymerized allergen extract derived from tree pollen, which is adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide hydrate as an adjuvant. The Depigoid platform utilizes a chemical modification process (depigmentation and polymerization) to reduce the allergenicity of the extract (decreasing IgE binding) while maintaining its immunogenicity. This modification allows for a more rapid up-dosing schedule compared to conventional allergen extracts. The product is available in Germany and has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials assessing its efficacy and safety over multiple pollen seasons.
