Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Depigoid Grass + Birch Mix is a depigmented, polymerized mixed pollen allergen extract developed by LETI Pharma (a subsidiary of Laboratorios LETI) for subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT). It combines allergens from grass and birch pollen that have been chemically modified through depigmentation and polymerization to reduce their IgE-binding capacity (allergenicity) while preserving their ability to induce a protective immune response (immunogenicity). The extract is adsorbed onto aluminium hydroxide for sustained release. It is indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and mild intermittent asthma in patients sensitized to both grass and birch pollen. The product aims to modulate the immune system to reduce hypersensitivity and induce long-term allergen tolerance.
