Overview
Depigoid Grass Mix is a subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (SCIT) product developed by LETI Pharma (a subsidiary of Laboratorios LETI). It consists of chemically modified (depigmented) and polymerized allergen extracts derived from grass pollen. The modification process involves treating the allergens with glutaraldehyde to reduce their IgE-binding capacity (allergenicity) while preserving their ability to induce a protective immune response (immunogenicity). This modification allows for a safer and more rapid up-dosing schedule, such as a preseasonal rush scheme. The product is indicated for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and allergic asthma in patients sensitized to grass pollen, and it is approved for use in adults and children aged 5 years and older.
