Overview

Depigoid Phleum is a chemically modified, depigmented and polymerized allergen extract derived from the pollen of *Phleum pratense* (timothy grass). It is used as an immunotherapy for patients with allergies to grass pollen, specifically targeting allergic rhinitis and/or rhinoconjunctivitis with or without intermittent asthma. The drug works by modulating the immune response to grass pollen allergens through subcutaneous administration over a course of injections. This form of specific immunotherapy (SIT) aims to reduce symptoms and medication use in sensitized individuals by inducing tolerance to the relevant allergens. Clinical studies have shown that SIT with Depigoid Phleum results in reductions in nose, eye, and lung symptoms as well as decreased need for concomitant medications[2][3][6].
