Overview

DermaMatrix is an acellular dermal matrix (ADM) derived from human cadaveric dermis. It is processed to remove all viable cells and immunogenic components, leaving behind a collagen-rich extracellular matrix scaffold. This structure supports tissue regeneration by allowing host cells—including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, lymphocytes, and others—to infiltrate the matrix, promoting organized tissue repair and revascularization. DermaMatrix is primarily used in reconstructive surgery (such as breast reconstruction post-mastectomy), wound healing (including chronic wounds, burns, ulcers), abdominal wall reconstruction (hernia repair), periodontal/dental surgery for soft tissue augmentation, and orthopedic/tendon repairs. Its biocompatibility reduces the risk of rejection or inflammatory response while providing a stable framework for new tissue growth[5][6].
