Dermasectan is a topical medical device developed by Novintethical Pharma for the management of atopic dermatitis, particularly in pediatric patients. It is formulated as a cream containing xyloglucan and pea protein, which act synergistically to form a protective, semi-permeable film on the skin surface. This "mucoprotective" barrier functions by physically preventing the penetration of allergens, irritants, and pathogens into the skin, which are common triggers for inflammatory flares in atopic dermatitis.
