Dermatophagoides injective allergoid is an investigational subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (AIT) product developed by LOFARMA S.p.A. for the treatment of respiratory allergies, including allergic rhinitis, rhinoconjunctivitis, and asthma. The active component consists of house dust mite allergens (typically from *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* and *Dermatophagoides farinae*) that have been chemically modified into allergoids. This modification reduces the allergens' IgE-binding capacity, thereby decreasing the risk of immediate allergic reactions while preserving their ability to stimulate the immune system toward tolerance. The allergoids are adsorbed onto calcium phosphate, which acts as an adjuvant to enhance the therapeutic effect. The drug is administered via subcutaneous injection and aims to desensitize patients by modulating the Th2-mediated allergic immune response.
