Overview
Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus + Dermatophagoides farinae allergen extract is a house dust mite (HDM) allergen immunotherapy developed by Inmunotek, S.L. It is a biologic product composed of standardized allergen extracts derived from the two most prevalent house dust mite species worldwide: *Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus* (Der p) and *Dermatophagoides farinae* (Der f). The therapy is designed to treat allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and general house dust mite hypersensitivity by inducing immunological tolerance and modulating IgE-mediated allergic responses. It is administered via sublingual (e.g., Oraltek spray) or subcutaneous (e.g., Alxoid polymerized allergoid) routes. The product has been evaluated in Phase 2 dose-finding clinical trials in Spain to characterize its efficacy, safety, and optimal dosing using nasal provocation threshold changes and skin prick tests.
