Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dermatreat Skin Regenerating Cream is a topical dermo-cosmetic formulation developed by Labrains SIA, a Latvian company specializing in natural dermocosmetics. Designed for the treatment of sensitive, dry, and irritated skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, and rosacea, the cream utilizes a multi-component approach. Its active ingredients include ceramide NP to restore the skin's lipid barrier, Lactobacillus ferment as a live biotherapeutic to balance the skin microbiome, and various natural extracts like Avena sativa (oat) kernel extract and magnesium carboxymethyl beta-glucan. The product works by inhibiting the adhesion of Staphylococcus aureus, reducing inflammatory markers such as interleukin-8 (IL-8) and immunoglobulin E (IgE), and minimizing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). It was evaluated as 'product 2' in clinical trial ISRCTN52512550.
