DermaWound Venous Stasis Formula is a topical over-the-counter (OTC) wound care ointment developed by DermaWound Products. The formulation contains 1.27% benzocaine hydrochloride as its active pharmaceutical ingredient, which functions as a local anesthetic to provide relief from the burning pain associated with chronic ulcers. In addition to benzocaine, the product incorporates a proprietary blend of sucrose (polysaccharides), calcium carbonate (minerals), and PVP-Iodine. This combination is designed to facilitate natural auto-debridement of the wound bed and promote healing in various conditions, including venous stasis ulcers, ankle ulcers, sickle cell ulcers, and burn ulcers.
