Dermazulen

Dermazulen is a topical pharmaceutical ointment containing a combination of guaiazulene and chamomile oil. Developed by the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB) in Prague, it is widely used for its anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, and antiseptic properties. The active ingredient, guaiazulene, is a dark blue sesquiterpene derivative obtained from chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) that promotes skin healing and reduces irritation by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of minor skin injuries, burns, eczema, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
