Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DerMend Moisturizing Bruise Formula is a topical cosmetic cream developed to improve the appearance of bruising (purpura) and photoaging in mature skin, particularly on the forearms and hands. The product was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, contralateral clinical trial (NCT01910831) conducted by The Center for Clinical and Cosmetic Research. Its formulation contains a proprietary blend of active ingredients, including retinol to support collagen production, ceramides to restore the skin's natural protective barrier, arnica montana flower extract to address bruising, and glycolic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid) to improve skin texture and promote exfoliation. The cream is specifically designed to address the thinning and increased fragility of aging skin that has been damaged by the sun or affected by certain medications. It is marketed as a dermatologist-recommended cosmetic product rather than a pharmaceutical drug.
