Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DermGEN is a regenerative tissue matrix derived from decellularized human dermis, designed to provide an optimal healing environment for chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers. The product preserves the natural composition and structure of the extracellular matrix (ECM), which is recognized by patient cells and stimulates a regenerative healing process. By maintaining ECM architecture and relevant growth factors, DermGEN supports rapid vascularization, reduced inflammation, and improved tissue remodeling compared to other grafts. It is sterilized to minimize infection risk and has received approval from Health Canada for use in humans. Developed primarily for wound care—especially diabetic foot ulcers—DermGEN leverages the body's own regenerative capacity to accelerate wound bed integration within one week[2][6].
