Desmeninol

Desmeninol is a small molecule amino acid derivative and methionine hydroxy analog primarily used to manage balanced protein metabolism in patients with renal dysfunction and as a feed additive for livestock (notably poultry), where it serves as an essential amino acid source[1][3]. In the body (and in animals), Desmeninol is converted enzymatically into methionine—an essential amino acid critical for protein synthesis and various metabolic processes.
