Overview

DESyne BDS Plus is a novel, triple drug-eluting coronary stent system developed for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). It features a bioresorbable polymer coating that delivers three drugs locally at the site of implantation: two anticoagulants (rivaroxaban and argatroban) and an antiproliferative mTOR inhibitor (sirolimus). This site-specific antithrombotic therapy aims to reduce thrombotic risk while minimizing systemic bleeding complications associated with oral antithrombotics. The stent is designed to address the clinical challenge of balancing ischemic and bleeding risks in complex PCI patients by providing local, sustained delivery of these agents directly to the vessel wall. Clinical trials have demonstrated its safety and efficacy compared to contemporary drug-eluting stents, with significantly lower rates of target lesion failure and no observed cases of cardiovascular death or definite/probable stent thrombosis at 12 months[1][4][6][8].
