Overview

Deudomperidone (CIN-102) is a novel, oral small molecule drug developed as a peripherally selective dopamine D2 and D3 receptor antagonist. It is a deuterated form of domperidone, engineered to improve pharmacokinetics and reduce cardiac liability compared to the non-deuterated parent compound. Deudomperidone acts as an antiemetic and prokinetic agent, improving gastric emptying and relieving symptoms such as nausea and vomiting associated with gastroparesis. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of gastroparesis, including diabetic gastroparesis. As of early 2025, it is in Phase 2 clinical trials for this indication in the United States[1][2][3][4][5][6][7].
