Overview

Deuterium-stabilized bupropion (DRX-184) is a novel small molecule drug developed by DeuteRx. It is a deuterated analog of the antidepressant bupropion, designed using DECS (deuterium-enabled chiral switching) technology to improve therapeutic properties and stability. The primary indication for DRX-184 is major depressive disorder (MDD), specifically targeting patients with anhedonia. The compound has received new U.S. patent protection through at least May 2044 and is currently in preclinical development[1][2][3][8].
