Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Dexalgen** is an intramuscular fixed-dose analgesic and anti-inflammatory combination developed and manufactured by Eurofarma. The product evaluated under the intervention name **Dextralgen** contains dexamethasone, dipyrone, and hydroxocobalamin: dexamethasone provides glucocorticoid-mediated anti-inflammatory activity, dipyrone provides analgesic and antipyretic activity, and hydroxocobalamin is a vitamin B12 form used for antineuritic support. A Phase III Eurofarma trial evaluated this combination for lumbar sciatic pain, using doses equivalent to dexamethasone 1.5 mg, dipyrone 500 mg, and hydroxocobalamin 5 mg by single daily intramuscular administration.
