Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination antiemetic regimen consisting of dexamethasone (a corticosteroid), granisetron (a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist), and ginger (a natural antiemetic). The combination is used for the prevention and management of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). Dexamethasone and granisetron have been extensively studied together and shown to be highly effective in controlling both acute and delayed emesis induced by moderately to highly emetogenic chemotherapy regimens. Ginger is added for its complementary antiemetic properties.
