Overview

Dexfadrostat is a potent nonsteroidal inhibitor of aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2), which is primarily used in treating primary aldosteronism (PA). It acts by inhibiting the production of aldosterone, thereby reducing blood pressure and correcting the aldosterone-to-renin ratio without affecting the adrenal stress response or the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Dexfadrostat is developed by Damian Pharma AG and has shown efficacy and safety in Phase 2 trials.
