Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dexketoprofen + tramadol is a fixed-dose combination analgesic containing two active pharmaceutical ingredients: dexketoprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX)-1 and COX‑2 to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, and tramadol, a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic that acts as a partial agonist at μ-opioid receptors and inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. The combination is designed for the short-term symptomatic treatment of moderate to severe acute pain in adults. Dexketoprofen provides rapid onset anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, while tramadol offers central pain relief with additional monoaminergic activity. The combination has been shown to provide synergistic pain relief with an improved safety profile compared to higher doses of individual components[2][4][5][8].
