Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of five different central nervous system stimulant medications commonly used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. Each component works by increasing levels of neurotransmitters like dopamine and norepinephrine in the brain. Mixed amphetamine salts (Adderall) contains a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine in a 3:1 ratio of dextroamphetamine to levoamphetamine. These medications help improve attention, focus, and reduce impulsivity and hyperactivity in patients with ADHD, and help manage excessive daytime sleepiness in narcolepsy.
